X-Ray
Do you think you have a broken bone? The Family Medical Center has got you covered. You do not have to sit for hours in an emergency room to find out for sure if it is broken and to receive treatment.
The Family Medical Center offers in-house x-rays with our state-of-the-art equipment. Broken bones, assessing dislocations, chest x-rays for nagging coughs, or looking for kidney stones, we can diagnose a wide array of injuries or illnesses right here in our office. The process is quick and painless.
X-rays use a small amount of radiation to penetrate through soft tissues in the body to produce images of bones or other hard substances underneath those soft tissues. The density of the structures creates a picture by the beam of the x-ray. Bones are dense and appear white. Muscles and fat appear as shades of gray, and air (such as in the lungs) appears darker gray.
The images are uploaded digitally into the computer system for almost instantaneous inspection by the staff.
Using the advancements in radiological technology over the past few years, our office can provide expedited medical treatment for our patients.
Dr. Adreassen and the Family Medical Center are available to assess your medical needs with our on-site x-rays and laboratory.
